Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Prize: Applications are open until 30 September
Applications for the 2nd edition of the Prize celebrating the life and work of the pedagogue and humanist Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida are open until 30 September.
This biennial award focuses on research in the field of early childhood, pre-primary and primary education, based on innovative and inclusive archetypes, contributing to the effective defence of human rights.
The Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Prize is open to bachelors, masters, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers in any field. The best work submitted will receive a prize worth €20,000 (twenty thousand euros).
The jury is composed by Vasco Vieira de Almeida, Founding Partner of Vieira de Almeida, Ana Maria Bettencourt, Advisor to the Civil House of the presidency of the Republic for the area of Education (1996-2006) and president of the National Education Council (2009-2013), Guilherme d'Oliveira Martins, former minister of Education and Administrator at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Isabel Alçada, former minister of Education and Advisor to the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic for the area of Education and Maria Emília Brederode Santos, president of the Institute for Educational Innovation of the Ministry of Education (1997-2002) and president of the National Education Council (2017-2022).
