The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and VdA have joined the #GivingTuesday movement to organise the 9th edition of Solidarity Christmas Sale at the VdA office in Lisbon.

Eight social organisations took part in this initiative, showcased and sold their products, both raising funds and awareness about their projects: Ad Gentes, Associação BIPP - Semear, Associação Pão a Pão, Café Joyeux, Cáritas Diocesana de Lisboa, Cozinha com Alma, Leigos para o Desenvolvimento and Sol sem Fronteiras.

GivingTuesday began in 2012 in the United States and was co-founded by the United Nations and 92StreetY. Today it is an autonomous organisation supported by the Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation and has become the world's largest solidarity movement.
