In 2019, the Girl MOVE Academy, one of VdA and the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation’s partner organisations, integrates 34 “Girl Movers” who are now preparing to enhance their life chances and to create positive change and social impact in Portugal, in their own lives and country, and in the world at large.

In the context of Girl MOVE Academy’s “CHANGE” leadership and social entrepreneurship programme for women leaders and changemakers, the young Girl Movers participate in an international Life Internship in their vocational field, with the aim of gaining the necessary tools to successfully pursue their career plans and return to Mozambique with a clear vision of their future.

As in previous years, in the scope of its partnership with Girl MOVE, VdA and the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation will be receiving a new Life Intern between September and October of this year.

On May 7th, VdA and the VVA Foundation’s Team of Mentors met with the Mentoring Teams of other companies participating in this programme. It was an inspiring morning that encouraged the sharing of experiences and saw the launch of the run-up to the 2019 Life Internships.
