On 5 June, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation organised a corporate volunteering initiative in partnership with SEMEAR.

As part of Project m2 under the ‘SEMEAR na Terra' Programme, the initiative brought together 26 VdA employees who, alongside the SEMEAR team, planted over 900 vegetable plants and contributed to the upkeep and cleaning of the garden sponsored by the Foundation.

SEMEAR’s mission is to socially and professionally empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through certified training and hands-on activities — from organic farming to food processing — promoting an inclusive model that brings the “farm to fork” concept to life.
