Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation sponsors SDG 16 of Zambujal 360
The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation is a partner of Ad Gentes and CAZAmbujal in the Zambujal 360 project, which aims to transform the Zambujal neighbourhood, in Amadora, into the world’s first social housing neighbourhood to become an ambassador for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Zambujal 360 plans to create an urban art gallery dedicated to the 17 SDGs, designed and carried out with the participation of residents and supported by several organisations, each associated with one of the goals.
The Foundation is sponsoring the mural dedicated to SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – currently being painted by artists Draw and Alma, from Projeto Ruído. In addition to this support, the Foundation will also help train young residents as guides for the urban gallery.
Through this commitment, the Foundation reinforces its belief in the SDGs and in empowering communities through culture and citizenship education.
