As part of the collaboration between Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida  and Teach for Portugal, Maria Sales Luís was a guest speaker on 15 May during a session dedicated to "Dia do Direito" [Law Day] with 9th grade students from the Borba School Group.

This initiative, which is part of the " Ser Quem Eu Quiser” [Be Who I Want] project, aims to sensitise students to the diversity of professions available. During the session, the lawyer shared her professional career with the young people, in particular the challenges and opportunities she has faced throughout her career. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to ask about the importance of decision-making along the educational and professional paths.

Since 2018, the Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida has supported Teach for Portugal, a Portuguese non-profit organisation that belongs to the international Teach For All network. Teach for Portugal works in schools within deprived contexts to reduce educational inequality and provide children with the opportunity to reach their full potential.
