Quota Law of employment for disabled people – challenge and opportunity for inclusion

Margarida Couto writes an article for Link to Leaders about the new Law no. 4/2019, that establishes a quota system of employment for disabled people, seeking their employment by companies.

The CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and President of GRACE explains that, “Under this new law, medium-sized enterprises (with a number equal to or greater than 75 employees) must admit disabled workers to at least 1% of the staff employed by them, while for large enterprises (with more than 250 employees) ), a quota of 2% shall apply. "
