The European Day of Foundations and Donors came into being to bring the importance of Foundations to the public's attention.

On 1 October, foundations from all over Europe come together in a joint effort to promote their work. They host a variety of events and activities and invite the public to learn more about their work.

The Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida joins in the celebrations, mindful of how important foundations are to the social impact ecosystem. Margarida Couto, CEO of the Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida, will take part in the event promoted by the Centro Português de Fundações (Portuguese Centre of Foundations).
