Zambujal 360 visits Exhibition promoted by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation
On 10 September, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation organised, in the context of its Culture axis of intervention, a visit to the contemporary art exhibition Arquivo ou Caleidoscópio? (“Archive or Kaleidoscope?”) of the artist Nuno Nunes-Ferreira, curated by Verónica de Mello. The visit was attended by representatives from the Ad Gentes and CAZA associations, namely, young people destined to become the future guides of the Zambujal 360 project, by artists and by representatives of some of the project’s sponsoring entities.
Zambujal 360, a project led by the Non-governmental organization (NGO), Ad Gentes and the CAZAmbujal association, which aims to transform the Zambujal neighbourhood, located in the municipality of Amadora, into the world’s first social housing neighbourhood to serve as an ambassador of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Zambujal 360 focuses on training young people, establishing a network of merchants, requalifying urban spaces, and promoting vibrant artistic, social, and cultural activities within the community.
The partnership established between the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and Zambujal 360 is materialised through the sponsorship of a mural dedicated to SDG 16 – “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” and by fostering opportunities for collaboration in the education and training of the project’s future guides.
