The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, in partnership with the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (FLUL), launches the 3rd edition of the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Award, which was set up to celebrate the memory of the remarkable citizen and unforgettable Professor of FLUL, who left his mark in the intellectual life of that institution.

The Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Award is biennial and seeks to unlock new scientific values and works in the field of Humanities. Graduates, masters, PhD, or post-doctoral researchers from FLUL may apply up to a maximum of five years from completion of their academic degree or the end of their post-doctoral researcher status.

The amount of the Award is twenty thousand euros, plus a maximum of five thousand euros as a contribution towards publication costs of the awarded work. Applications for the 3rd edition must be submitted by 31 July 2024.
