The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation has joined the global giving movement #GivingTuesday!
On 3 December, Portugal participates for the very first time, alongside millions of people worldwide, in a unique act of generosity and solidarity that takes place around the globe on the same day.
This movement was born in the USA in 2012, co-founded by 92StreetY and the United Nations Foundation. GivingTuesday arises from a very simple idea: a day when the whole world joins forces to promote solidarity and giving, using social media to inspire people to be generous.
Each and every one of us can “give for change”, whether by giving some of your time, talents, goods, money or any other gesture; however small it may seem, it can make a difference!
In this spirit, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation has decided to support BIPP’s Semear Programme, CASA, Just a Change, Centro de Bem-Estar Social de Coz, Filhos do Coração and Leigos para o Desenvolvimento on #GivingTuesday.
