Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation takes part in the ‘Civil Society’ programme

17 April, 2025

The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation was highlighted in the latest episode of RTP2's “Civil Society” ("Sociedade Civil") programme, in which Inês Azeredo Caeiro, vice-executive director, presented the work developed by the Foundation and the principles that guide its mission.

Created with the aim of carrying on the humanist vision and social intervention of Vieira de Almeida's founder, Dr Vasco Vieira de Almeida, the Foundation has established itself as an active agent in promoting education for citizenship, human rights, knowledge and culture.

The Foundation currently operates in four areas - Education, Justice and Human Rights, Knowledge and Science, and Culture. Last year alone, it supported more than 30 social organisations, confirming its role as an investing Foundation - not only by funding projects, but also by promoting the active participation of Vieira de Almeida employees in volunteering activities, mentoring programmes and fundraising campaigns.

‘We adjust our intervention according to the needs of the organisations on the field,’ stressed Inês Azeredo Caeiro.

More than supporting projects, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation seeks to create significant impact by fostering strategic collaboration networks and enhancing the human and social value of its initiatives.
