The Girl Move Academy is a Mozambican leadership academy that was awarded the UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education in 2021. It is dedicated to training young leaders through new educational models, with the aim of generating impact and spreading systemic change in Mozambique. As part of the Change Programme, Girl Movers can participate in an international work placement with companies that support transformative leadership and social innovation. The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and VdA have been partners of the Girl MOVE Academy since 2016 and have already welcomed 17 Girl Movers on internships at their offices in Lisbon and Porto.
