Iron Brothers Initiative – Competition

13 September, 2019

Vieira de Almeida & Associados (“VdA”) and the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation partnered with Iron Brothers, a project developed by the willpower of two brothers - an amateur athlete and an athlete with cerebral palsy - to help APCL - Association for Cerebral Palsy in Lisbon, by taking part in IRONMAN competition.
In this regard, combining recycling and environmental sustainability with social support initiatives focusing on vulnerable audiences, VdA and the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation participated in Iron Brothers’ latest initiative, the “Tampeonato”, a competition between companies based in Lisbon aimed at raising of plastic caps.
The initiative took place between June and August at VdA Lisbon and Porto. About 40 Kg of collected caps will now revert to the acquisition of hygiene cranes, wheelchairs, bath towels and other appliances to be delivered to people with cerebral palsy in a situation of need.
