February 10^th marked the fifth anniversary of the effective date of the Regime Jurídico do Maior Acompanhado (Legal Framework of Adult Guardianship).  

Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida and its partner EAPN Portugal - Rede Europeia Anti-Pobreza are launching a new edition of the “InclusivaMente Practical Guide” to mark this occasion, with updated content and new chapters. The Guide was developed by trainers Paula Guimarães and Rosário Zincke dos Reis as part of the “InclusivaMente Project: Human rights in ageing and mental health”.

The “InclusivaMente Practical Guide” is designed as a support tool for social sector professionals, families, and beneficiaries. Its purpose is to to help interpret the law and to complement the technical guidelines and key process and quality manuals, that support the activity of social organisations promoting the rights of their beneficiaries and providing care for the elderly, dependent and/or those with diminished capacity.
