VdA Team members at the Teach for Portugal Pitch Day!
As part of the collaboration between Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida and Teach for Portugal, Susana Miranda, Carina Pintão Barros, and José Menano, members of VdA's Human Resources team joined the Pitch Day on 27 April.
Pitch Day is an initiative for mentors in the 2nd year of the Leadership Development Programme to help them improve their professional communication with potential recruiters.
Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida has been supporting, since 2018, Teach for Portugal, a Portuguese non-profit organisation which is part of the international Teach For All network.
Teach for Portugal is engaged in schools from deprived backgrounds and aims to reduce educational inequality and give children from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Congratulations to Teach for Portugal for another worthy initiative! It is always so hard for us to take a break from our fast paced lives, but when we give ourselves the opportunity to be involved in projects like this, we find that our contribution to the development of these young people doesn't compare to the personal satisfaction we get from feeling that somehow we have made a difference to those young people. Thank you for your trust!
