The 2nd edition of the InclusivaMente Project has started!

03 February, 2020

The 28th and 29th of January marked the beginning of the second year of training of the InclusivaMente Project: Human Rights in aging and mental health.
The first stop of the roadshow was in Lisbon, at Vieira de Almeida’s office, and was attended by 25 professionals from various social economy entities that provide care for the elderly, those in situations of dependency and/or persons with impairments. The group of participants was very engaged and dynamic, thus contributing to the success of this first session of the year.

The InclusivaMente Project is promoted by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, in partnership with EAPN Portugal - European Anti-Poverty Network, and the training sessions are given by Paula Guimarães and Rosário Zincke dos Reis, practitioners with extensive experience in the legislative and legal framework of the “Maior Acompanhado” (adult persons unable, due to health reasons, disability or behavioural issues, to fully, personally and consciously exercise their rights or fulfil their duties) in the Portuguese context.

In 2020, the project will cover 10 districts in Portugal, with a view to contributing to the consolidation of more enlightened and informed practices in the provision of care to people with impairments or in situations of dependency, as well as empowering citizens to exercise inclusive and responsible citizenship.

Registration for the training sessions can be made by completing the registration form (contents available only in Portuguese), which should be sent to geral@eapn.pt.
