Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and VdA participate in Serve the City’s Community Dinner

04 March, 2020

On 26 February, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation and VdA participated, for the fourth consecutive year, in the Community Dinner promoted by Serve the City Association.
The event was attended by a group of 50 volunteers, made up of VdAs and their family members, who came together to serve a meal for more than 140 homeless and socially fragile people, in an environment of exchange, inclusion and service.
It was an amazing volunteer experience and exercise of citizenship, enjoyed by all.

Serving those most in need with the VdA team and their families allows us to witness first-hand how together we can have a direct impact on our society! A smile, a conversation can have an extraordinary impact in the life of these people! Be sure to participate in the next “Serve the City” (Community Dinner) and other initiatives promoted by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation! We are so much more than just a law firm!

I am happy to be part of a community that knows how to give and do for others, whose contribution serves as a comfort, even if only for a few hours, to those who need it most.
With a full heart, thank you!

It is important for us to understand the meaning of the collective. The sense of Community. The knowledge that we are not here isolated and that we are interdependent. The truth is that we give little because we think we have nothing to give. But it is precisely when we give that we realize that our little can be so much for others - even if it is only a drop in the ocean. Serve the City’s dinner, promoted by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, was another unforgettable moment where we contributed as a team to the well-being of our guests and the Community. If I hadn't been present, it would have been just one less drop in the ocean. But if it was not for these drops, where would we find the meaning of the whole? Thanks to the entire Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation team, to all who shared in this moment, and to Serve the City for the incredible work they do for all of Us.
