The Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation partnered with We@Católica Lisbon to support the Loures Arts Conservatory

09 November, 2020

On 27 October, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation partnered with the Loures Arts Conservatory (CAL) and the Catholic Lisbon School of Business and Economics’ Back to Market Program, which helps Católica alumnae return to the labor market.

The Program is included in the Women Entrepreneurs@Católica Lisbon (WE@Católica-Lisbon) initiative and affords enrolled alumnae an opportunity to take 4 months’ classroom and on-the-job training designed to develop such strategic skills as creating marketing and business plans.
VVA Foundation’s specific role in the Program will be to partner with 4 alumnae with a degree in management to develop a strategic consultancy plan as part of a social music and arts project, namely the Loures Arts Conservatory (CAL).
CAL, the beneficiary of the activity developed by the VVA Foundation and a partner of the latter, is also a pro bono client of VdA. As part of our pro bono cooperation protocol (a building block of our Social Responsibility strategy), VdA has been advising CAL comprehensively, involving teams from various practice areas, namely Labor, Public, Tax and Social Economy.
In practice, CAL is much more than an arts’ conservatory. Using music as a vehicle for social inclusion, CAL is committed to the personal and human development of young people and focused on building responsible citizenship. CAL operates as a true support center for the community, seeking to reduce inequalities and promote the dignity of those with whom it cooperates".
The consultancy project within the Back to Market Program with will run over 4 months until January 2021.
