Cuerama Foundation

The Cuerama Foundation is dedicated to the holistic and sustainable development of Cuerama village in the Cuanza Sul province of Angola. The Foundation's work aims to harness local expertise by promoting access to education, healthcare, nutrition and training opportunities. This will improve the quality of life of local people and strengthen community development.

To this end, the Foundation develops projects that combine formal education, technical training, and social entrepreneurship initiatives. These projects encourage children, young people, and adults in the community to acquire skills and play an active role in shaping their future.

Recognising the impact of this work, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation has supported the Cuerama Foundation since 2024, thereby strengthening its involvement in the VdA Legal Partners international network. This partnership contributes to the development of initiatives that promote the growth and self-reliance of the local community.

In this context, the partnership has enabled further strengthening of the educational and community activities at the Cuerama School, as well as the promotion of training projects and educational workshops. These initiatives help to improve nutrition, develop practical skills, and strengthen families' self-reliance. They make the most of local resources and encourage sustainable solutions for the village's development.
