Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Award - 2nd Edition | Call for Applications
The Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida (Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation) is launching the 2nd Edition of the Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Award, backed by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), to celebrate the life and work of this pedagogue and humanist.
This biennial Award focuses on research in the field of early childhood, pre-primary and primary education based on innovative and inclusive archetypes that contribute to a more effective defence of human rights.
Graduates, masters, PhDs, or post-doctoral researchers in any field can apply for the Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Award. The best work submitted in this edition will receive an award of twenty thousand euros (€20,000).
The Jury is made up of Vasco Vieira de Almeida, Founding Partner of Vieira de Almeida, Ana Maria Bettencourt, Advisor to the Casa Civil da Presidência da República (Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic) for Education (1996-2006) and Chairperson of the Conselho Nacional de Educação (National Education Council), Guilherme d'Oliveira Martins, Former Minister for Education and Director at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Isabel Alçada, Former Minister for Education and Consultant to the Casa Civil da Presidência da República (Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic) for Education, and Maria Emília Brederode Santos, Chairperson of the Instituto de Inovação Educacional do Ministério da Educação (Institute for Educational Innovation of the Ministry of Education) (1997-2002) and Chairperson of the Conselho Nacional d Educação (National Education Council) (2017-2022).
Applications for the 2nd Edition must be submitted by 30 September 2024.
