Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida Award

Promoting an education based on innovative and inclusive archetypes able to contribute towards a better protection of human rights is one of the pillars of Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida and Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.

Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida established the Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida award with the support of Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian to celebrate the late Ms. Ana Maria Vieira de Almeida. The award will distinguish research papers on innovative models for early childhood education, namely kindergarten, pre-school, and primary school, every two years.

Eligibility

College graduates, persons with Masters’ degrees or PhDs or post-PhD researchers in any area are eligible for the Award.

Value

The Award is twenty thousand Euros (EUR 20,000).

Jury

The Jury will be alternately chaired by a member appointed by each Foundation and must include at least two reputable education experts. The Chairperson of the Jury for the 2nd edition of the award will be appointed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
