On February 29th, the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon hosted the launch of the book The Transmission of Luciano de Samósata in Portugal in the 16th Century, the winner of the 1st edition of the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Prize, by Maria Luísa Resende.

 

The event was attended by Margarida Couto, CEO of the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation, and Professor António Feijó, President of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and a member of the jury for the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Prize.

 

The book was presented by José María Maestre Maestre, Professor at the University of Cádiz, followed by a debate on Humanism Today, moderated by Ana María Tarrío, Professor at the University of Lisbon and with the presence of Professor José Pedro Serra, representing the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and a member of the Jury of the Professor Francisco Vieira de Almeida Prize.
